Yes! REBECCA The Musical will finally have its long-awaited premiere on Broadway. Previews begin on March 27, and the opening date is set for April 22, 2012.
It’s been a long and bumpy ride for this extraordinary drama musical by Michael Kunze and Sylvester Levay. Last year, after successful readings in London, all plans for a Westend premiere had to be called off. Due to unexpected water build-up under the Shaftesbury theater, none of the required stage extensions were possible.
REBECCA will be produced by Ben Sprecher and Louise Forlenza, and directed by Michael Blakemore and Francesca Zambello.
Sierra Boggess is expected to perform as “I”, the young wife of Maxim DeWinter.
